Date: 2009-04-28 03:38 pm (UTC)Dark Angel is pure id-candy, and whether it works for you is going to depend on a) whether it hits your narrative kinks and b) how well you like/tolerate the actors involved. I have never followed enough of her career to have the standard hate-on for Jessica Alba, I don't know Michael Weatherly from Adam (and the character annoys me anyway), I am of the Jensen Ackles Horde, and I like pretty much all of the rest of the cast I recognize.
I hear The Sarah Connor Chronicles is pretty awesome. I've got the first season to watch one of these days, and I saw and adored the pilot.
If you're looking for new manga to read, I could probably hook you up with a couple of titles.

Date: 2009-04-28 03:41 pm (UTC)I would love manga recs, but the purpose of this post was mostly because I've run out of things to occupy my brain while I knit. ;)

Date: 2009-04-29 02:21 am (UTC)I also recommend "Witchblade" -- The 2000-2002 series with Yancy Butler, not the anime (I haven't seen the anime but YB kicks ass!)
"Dead Like Me" died far too soon. There were only two seasons of this HBO series, but they are both gold.
If you have a soft spot for Shakespeare, "Slings and Arrows" is a must. And I'm not just saying that because I'm Canadian. ;)
I need to pimp one anime series - Samurai 7. Beautiful.

I will give your other recs a try :)
